How do I change my password, email address, or display name?

Quick answer: Recipe Cloud uses your email address to sign in. Change your email and password under Account in settings. Change your display name (the name others see on your profile) under Profile in settings. Password changes are done through a secure reset link sent to your email—you cannot type a new password directly in the app.

Email, password, and display name

  • Email — used to sign in to Recipe Cloud on the web and iOS.
  • Password — reset via email; there is no separate “change password” field while signed in.
  • Display name — the public name on your profile and recipes. Recipe Cloud does not use a separate login username.

Changes sync to your account, so they apply on the web app and iOS app when you use the same login.


Web app

Open Account Settings while signed in. You can also click your profile picture in the top navigation and choose Account Settings.

Change your email

  1. Under Manage Account Details, find Email.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter your new email address and click Save.

Change your display name

  1. Scroll to Profile Settings.
  2. Next to Display Name, click Edit.
  3. Type the new name and click Save.

Change your password

While signed in:

  1. Under Manage Account Details, find Password.
  2. Click Reset.
  3. Confirm Send link when asked.
  4. Check your email and follow the link to set a new password.

If you are not signed in, open Reset password, enter your email, and follow the instructions in the email.


iOS app

Open settings

  1. Open the Recipe Cloud app and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the main tabs (Explore, Saved, Shopping, or Meal Planner).
  3. On My Profile, tap the settings icon in the top-right corner.
  4. My Settings opens.

Change your email

  1. Tap Account.
  2. Tap Email.
  3. Enter your new email address and tap Save.

Change your display name

  1. From My Settings, tap Profile.
  2. Edit Display Name.
  3. Tap Save Settings.

Change your password

While signed in:

  1. Tap Account.
  2. Next to Password, tap Reset.
  3. Tap Send reset link when asked.
  4. Check your email and follow the link to set a new password.

If you are not signed in, tap Reset on the Sign In screen (under Forgot email or password?), enter your email, and tap Reset My Password.


Tips

  • After resetting your password, sign in again on each device with the new password.
  • If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder and confirm you used the correct address.
