Quick answer: Cancel where you subscribed. Website subscribers cancel in Account Settings on the web. iOS app subscribers cancel through Apple’s subscription settings. After you cancel, Plus usually stays active until the end of your current billing period, then your account returns to the free plan.
Before you cancel
- Where you subscribed matters. Website and iOS subscriptions are managed in different places.
- Canceling does not remove your recipes. Your saved recipes and collections stay on your account.
- Plus access typically continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
- Deleting the app or logging out does not cancel your subscription—you must cancel through the website or Apple.
- Deleting your Recipe Cloud account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel Plus first if you plan to delete your account.
Subscribed on the website
If you upgraded to Recipe Cloud Plus on recipecloudapp.com:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Account Settings. You can also click your profile picture in the top navigation and choose Account Settings.
- Scroll to Manage Subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
You are taken to a secure billing page to confirm cancellation. Follow the prompts on that page.
After you cancel, Account Settings may show when your plan will end (for example, Your plan will be canceled on a specific date). You can keep using Plus until that date. You will not be charged again unless you resubscribe.
Subscribed through the iOS app
If you upgraded in the Recipe Cloud app on iPhone or iPad, the subscription is billed through Apple. Recipe Cloud cannot cancel it for you from the website.
Cancel with Apple
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Recipe Cloud (or your Recipe Cloud Plus subscription).
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
You can also start from the Recipe Cloud app:
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- On My Profile, tap the settings icon.
- Tap Manage Subscriptions.
- Tap Manage subscription to open Apple’s subscription page, then cancel there.
On Mac, use the same Apple ID subscription settings if you subscribed through the App Store on that device.
Website billing, but you use the iOS app
If Plus is billed on the website (not through Apple), the iOS app shows Manage subscription on website. Tap that to open Account Settings on the web, then use Cancel subscription as described above.
Already canceled?
Web (Stripe billing):
Check Account Settings → Manage Subscription for your plan status or end date.
iOS (Apple billing):
Check Settings → Subscriptions on your device, or in the app use Manage Subscriptions → Refresh subscription status.
After your subscription ends
When Plus ends, your account moves back to the free plan. Your recipes and collections remain, but free-plan limits apply again for adding new content. You can upgrade again anytime.
