Quick answer: Where you subscribed determines where you update payment details. If you pay through the Recipe Cloud website, update your card in Account Settings on the web. If you subscribed through the iOS app, Apple handles billing—update your payment method in Apple’s subscription settings, not in Recipe Cloud.
Where you subscribed matters
Recipe Cloud Plus can be billed in two ways:
- Website (Stripe) — you pay Recipe Cloud directly on the web.
- iOS app (Apple) — you pay through your Apple ID in the App Store.
You update billing details in the same place you subscribed. Recipe Cloud does not store your full card number; payment is handled by our billing partner (Stripe on the web) or by Apple.
Subscribed on the website
If you upgraded to Plus on recipecloudapp.com:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Account Settings.You can also click your profile picture in the top navigation and choose Account Settings.
- Scroll to Manage Subscription.
- Tap Update payment information.
You are taken to a secure billing page where you can add, remove, or change the card on file. When you are done, you return to Account Settings.
From the same Manage Subscription section you can also use Update subscription to review your plan or Cancel subscription to stop future renewals.
Subscribed through the iOS app
If you upgraded in the Recipe Cloud app on iPhone or iPad, billing is tied to your Apple ID. Recipe Cloud cannot change your card from inside the app.
Update your card with Apple
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Recipe Cloud (or the Recipe Cloud Plus subscription).
- Update your payment method using Apple’s options.
You can also open subscriptions from the Recipe Cloud app:
- Open My Settings (profile picture → My Profile → settings icon).
- Tap Manage Subscriptions.
- Tap Manage subscription to open Apple’s subscription page.
Tips
- Update your card before your next renewal if your old card is expiring or was replaced.
- If a payment fails, fix your payment method in the billing portal (web) or in Apple Subscriptions (iOS), then confirm your Plus status is still active in Account Settings or Manage Subscriptions.
- Use the same Recipe Cloud account you used when you subscribed so the correct subscription appears.
