Recipe Cloud doesn’t appear in my iOS share menu

Recipe Cloud

Last Modified: June 17, 2026

Quick answer: The Recipe Cloud share extension is included with the iPhone/iPad app—you enable it once in the iOS Share sheet. Open Share → More → Edit, turn Recipe Cloud on, and add it to Favorites if you like.

Enable Recipe Cloud in the share sheet

  1. Install the Recipe Cloud app from the App Store and open it at least once.
  2. In Safari (or another app), open a page you want to save and tap Share.
  3. Scroll the app row to the right and tap More (sometimes shown as …).
  4. Tap Edit (or Customize on newer iOS versions).
  5. Find Recipe Cloud and turn it on (green toggle).
  6. Optional: tap the + or drag Recipe Cloud into Favorites so it shows up first.
  7. Tap Done, then try Share → Recipe Cloud again.

First time using Share

The first time you tap Recipe Cloud in the share sheet, you may be asked to sign in or create an account. Complete that step, then return to the page and share again.

Still don't see it?

Use Safari for recipe websites
Some in-app browsers (inside Instagram, Facebook, etc.) show a limited share menu. For blogs and recipe sites, open the page in Safari, then tap Share.

For social posts
Use the post's Share button (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and look for Recipe Cloud in the share sheet—after you've enabled it in step 1 above.

Update the app
Open the App Store → Updates and install the latest Recipe Cloud release, then repeat the enable steps above.

Restart your iPhone or iPad
After enabling the extension, a quick restart can help iOS pick up the change.

Alternative: import from a URL

If the share menu still won't cooperate, save the recipe from inside the app:

  1. Copy the recipe link
  2. Open Recipe Cloud → tap + → Import from URL
  3. Paste the link and import

Some sites work better with Share or the Chrome extension—see I'm having trouble saving or importing a recipe.
