Quick answer: Open your shopping list, then share it as plain text by text, email, print, or copy to clipboard. On iPhone and iPad, use ⋯ → Share List. On the web, use the share icons (desktop) or ⋯ → Share (mobile).
What gets shared
Your list is sent as plain text, grouped by store aisle (Produce, Dairy, Meat, and so on). Each item shows the name with quantity and unit when you’ve added them—for example, • Milk · 1 gallon.
Only unchecked items are included—the things you still need to buy. Checked-off items are left out.
iPhone and iPad
- Open the Shopping tab.
- Tap ⋯ in the top-right corner.
- Tap Share List.
- Choose how to send it from the iOS share sheet:
- Text — tap Messages (or another messaging app) and pick a contact.
- Email — tap Mail, add a recipient, and send.
- Print — tap Print to send to a printer or save as PDF.
- Copy — tap Copy, then paste the list anywhere.
Web app
- Sign in and open Shopping List at recipecloudapp.com/shopping-list/.
- Share using one of these:
Desktop
Use the icons along the right side of the page:
- Print — print the list or save as PDF.
- Text — opens your messaging app (on mobile browsers, may use the device share sheet).
- Email — opens a new email with subject Shopping list and your items in the body.
- Copy — copies the list to your clipboard. You’ll see a confirmation like Copied 12 items to clipboard.
Mobile browser
- Tap ⋯ (next to the page title).
- Tap Share.
- Choose Print, Text (SMS), Email, or Copy.
Tips
- Add everything to your list first—share reflects what’s on screen when you tap share.
- Recipients don’t need a Recipe Cloud account; they just get a text list.
- On the web, very long lists may be shortened in a text message; Email and Copy work best for big lists.
