Quick answer: Your saved recipes and collections stay in your account. You move back to the free plan and its limits—you won’t lose recipes you already saved, but you may not be able to save new ones or use Plus features until you subscribe again.
Your recipes are not deleted
Canceling or letting Recipe Cloud Plus expire does not remove any content. Recipes, collections, meal plans, and shopping lists you already created remain tied to your account and sync across your devices.
What changes
When Plus ends, your account returns to the free plan:
- Saving — You may hit limits on how many new recipes and collections you can add. Recipes you already saved stay available.
- Meal planner & shopping list — Free-plan limits apply again.
- Plus-only features — Anything included only with Plus (such as unlimited saving) is no longer available until you resubscribe.

Cancel vs. expire
If you cancel a paid subscription, you usually keep Plus until the end of your current billing period (monthly or yearly). After that date, your account switches to the free plan.
If a subscription expires without renewing, the same applies—Plus access ends and free-plan limits take effect.
Want Plus again?
You can resubscribe anytime from Account settings on the web or in the iPhone/iPad app. Your existing recipes will still be there.
